Carbon fiber in the Porsche bay
The newest thing in the Porsche bay is not steel. This coupe body is up on the lift with a carbon fiber door fitted, and you can see the weave in the panel.
The green tape marks the spots being checked along the bottom edge. A lightweight panel like this has to be fitted with care so the gaps and body lines match the rest of the car.
