The Porsche bay starts at the stage nobody photographs. This coupe has its glass, lights and trim off, and the body has been sanded down. The light patches on the hood and fender are spots that were filled and sanded level.
Nothing about this stage is pretty, but it decides how the finished paint will look. Paint shows whatever is underneath it.
