Around the shop, part 1 of 2
Start here: welcome behind the scenes

Welcome behind the scenes at Mahood’s Collision and Hot Rods. This is where we show what is actually on the shop floor: the cars that came in after a wreck, the ones in primer, and the ones in the paint booth.
The shop belongs to Mark Mahood, and the name on the building is his. Modern Rodding credited him by name with the bodywork and the custom Kugel Gray paint on Joe Kugel’s 1932 Ford roadster.
We are following a few stories at once: an orange build, a row of classic Porsches, and the everyday collision work. Pick one and follow along.
